Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers for young people aged 6 to 18. We’re a friendly, welcoming group, always looking for new members. Find the right section for your child and send us an enquiry.
Scouting is split into sections by age, and young people move up as they get older. Beavers and Cubs each have two groups (two Beaver Colonies and two Cub Packs) that meet on different nights, so you can tell us which night would suit your family.
Not sure? Enter your child’s month and year of birth in the form below and we’ll show you which section fits.

1st Hazel Grove is run entirely by volunteers. Here’s what happens after you get in touch.
Fill in the form on this page. It goes by email to our volunteer team.
A volunteer will get back to you to talk about places in the section and what happens next.
When your child joins, your section leader will get you set up on Online Scout Manager (OSM), which we use for programmes, events, badges and payments.
Your section leader will explain the uniform your child needs, the current subscription and how to pay.
Tell us a little about your child and which section you’re interested in, and one of our volunteers will reply by email.

For an idea of typical costs nationally, see the Scouts’ uniform and costs page (opens in a new tab).
All members wear the standard Scout uniform for their section. Your section leader will let you know exactly what’s needed when your child joins.
The section programme shows which nights are full uniform, necker only or no uniform.
