Ages 6–8

Beavers

Two Colonies, meeting on Monday and Thursday evenings at the Methodist Church on Wesley Street, Hazel Grove.

Fun, friendship and first adventures

We run two Beaver Colonies for children aged 6 to 8: Beech Beavers on Mondays and Sycamore Beavers on Thursdays. Both meet at the Methodist Church on Wesley Street in Hazel Grove.

Beavers is where Scouting starts. Each week brings games, crafts, stories and the chance to try something new, all while making friends and growing in confidence.

What Beavers get up to

  • Games, crafts and making things
  • Exploring outdoors and learning about nature
  • Earning their first badges
  • First nights away with their Colony

Choose a Colony

Our two Colonies meet on different nights. Pick the night that suits your family, or if either would work, choose “any night” on the joining form.

Moving on to Cubs

Around the age of 8, Beavers move up to Cubs.
