Getting stuck in at Jacala Cubs
Jacala goes back to the 1960s, when the Cub waiting list grew so long that our Cubs were split into two Packs. Jenny Castle led Jacala on Monday evenings then, and it still meets on Mondays today. It’s for children aged 8 to 10½.
Cubs try their hand at all sorts, from camping and cooking outdoors to science, first aid and team challenges. They work in small groups called Sixes and start to take on more responsibility.
Can’t make Mondays? Our other Pack, Mao Cubs, meets on Thursdays, 6:45–8:15pm.

2026 is 1st Hazel Grove’s centenary year. To mark it, each section planned a special camp or trip; for Cubs, a camp with adventures in London.
