On Saturday 21st September 2013, 10 scouts and four leaders set off for a weekend of cycling from Liverpool to Stockport.
They cycled a total of 55 miles over the two days with a camp on the Saturday night at Dunham Massey Scout Camp.
The Group cycled 35 miles on the first day, with 20 miles on day two finishing at the Pyramid in Stockport at 4pm on Sunday. There were few roads on the expedition, but plenty of stiles to slow the Group down. A great weekend and a fantastic challenge for all involved, especially the younger children who looked ready for bed at 4pm.
Thanks to Rob Ogilvie for driving the minibus and transporting all the equipment. Unusually, there was no wet canvas as the weather was fine and dry all weekend!
Well done to all those that took part and a special thanks to the leaders that planned the route and supervised the activity.
